Alex has a BSc in Natural Science from the University of Exeter, where he studied all three Sciences and Maths to degree level and graduated with first class honours. He then received MSc in Science Communication from the University of Sheffield.
After this, he worked in Medical Communications for two years, where he worked alongside pharmaceutical companies and Health Care Practitioners, helping them communicate the science behind new medicines. He then briefly worked for Bone Cancer Research Trust, raising awareness of the rare cancer, before becoming a freelance science writer and illustrator.
Alex has over five years of experience in writing scientific content, ranging from presentations at international conferences to writing scientific news articles. Alex also draws scientific diagrams and enjoys making science content visually appealing. Alex has a keen interest in genetics, rare cancers and physical chemistry; however, he does enjoy all continuing to learn about all types of science. He creates PowerPoint presentations and the accompanying lecture notes and illustrations for a range of subjects at Elite Medics.
